Welcome to Savix, the tool that turns chaotic last-minute packing into a simple, organized process. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use Savix services (including our mobile app and account system for registered users with Savix ID). We are committed to full transparency and protecting your privacy as you plan your trips.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect information that is necessary to provide you with the full Savix packing planning experience:
- Account Information: If you register for a Savix ID, we collect basic information you provide (such as your email address, display name, and login credentials) to authenticate your account and sync your trip plans across devices.
- Trip & Packing Data: This includes all information you create when using our service: trip details (duration, trip type), custom packing lists, personal belongings entries, and your custom interactive virtual suitcase layouts. All of this data is created by you for your personal packing planning.
When you use our photo capture feature to quickly add items to your trip plan, you will be prompted to grant permission to access your device's camera and photo gallery. We only process the specific photo you select to create your item entry, and we never scan or access any other photos stored on your device without your explicit permission.
- Usage & Device Information: We collect basic, non-identifiable data such as your device type, operating system version, app version, and anonymous usage analytics (such as which features you use most often) to help us improve our service and fix bugs.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to deliver and improve the Savix experience you expect:
- To power all core product features: photo-based item addition, interactive drag-and-drop virtual suitcases, visual packing simulation, one-tap packing list generation, and missing item tracking to help you never leave essentials behind.
- To sync your packing plans across your personal devices when you log in with your Savix ID.
- To improve our service: for example, refining photo item recognition, improving the virtual suitcase layout experience, and adding new packing templates for different trip types (weekend getaways, business trips, long international adventures, etc.).
- To respond to your support requests and notify you of important service updates or changes to our privacy practices.
- To protect the security of our service and all users.
We will never sell your personal identifiable information or private packing data to third parties for commercial purposes. This is a core promise to our users.
3. Data Storage & Security
By default, most of your packing data is stored locally on your device, giving you full control over your information. If you enable cloud sync with your Savix ID, your data is encrypted at rest and stored on our secure third-party cloud infrastructure.
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. While no storage method is 100% secure, we continuously update our practices to keep your data safe.
4. Sharing Your Information
We only share your information in very limited circumstances:
- With trusted third-party service providers that help us operate Savix (such as cloud storage providers and authentication services). All of our partners are required to protect your information in line with this privacy policy, and can only process your data as instructed by us.
- When required by applicable law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Savix and our users.
- In the event of a business transition (such as merger or acquisition), your information will be transferred as part of the transaction, and will remain subject to the privacy commitments in this policy.
We never share your personal trip or packing data with third parties for their independent marketing use.
5. Your Rights Over Your Data
As a Savix user, you retain full control and rights over all of your personal data:
- You can access, edit, update, or delete any of your trips, packing lists, and items directly in the app at any time.
- You can request a full export of all data associated with your Savix ID by contacting us.
- You can delete your Savix ID and all associated cloud-stored data permanently at any time via app settings or through a support request.
- You can revoke camera or photo access permissions at any time via your device settings. This will only disable the photo item addition feature, and will not affect other core Savix features.
6. Children's Privacy
Savix is not intended for use by children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 16, we will delete it immediately from our records.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes to our data practices or product features. When we make material changes, we will notify all registered users via in-app notification or email, and update the effective date at the top of this policy.
